Many a times have we seen people make several complain about their prayers are not being answered. Some would say, God is being partial about his answers to people who called on him. To this I aim to help us understand what it really means to pray and making it efficient and effective with adequate results.
What it means to pray?
Prayer is the communication between God and man for fellowship. Many a times, people have shown great misunderstanding of the whole concept of prayer, not knowing that prayer is in diverse forms. We have prayer in the form of just communication, intercession, warfare, praise and worship.
But finally, when the real meaning of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. The same way we have it in prayer, if the understanding of the diverse forms of prayeris not known, we will really not get any result afterwards.
People involved in prayer
Prayer is a means of communication between two persons who have complete agreement with each other. Two cannot walk together until they agree, that is how it is with God and man in the place of prayer.
To note the things that have really hindered prayer effectiveness can be quite a number of things, to know these things, we need to first go through the principles of prayer’s effectiveness.
Faith – without faith we can really not please God. The bible made us to realize that anyone that cometh to God must come believing that he is and that he rewards them that diligently seek him.
Fervency to prayers – “………the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much” James 5:17 this makes us know that when there is a consistency in what we need from God, there is a response that is provoked from heaven.
Righteous living – the text from the previous point also show that the availing power of our prayer is solely dependent on our righteous living. Why? God is righteous and he gives yield to his faithful, those who are diligent and obedient to his word.
Prayer by the spirit of God – the spirit of God in us gives us the utterance that we need to communicate our prayers according to the will of God. “…: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought to: but the spirit itself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26
Reason for unanswered prayers
Having seen that any part of the principles shared above that is violated may likely cause prayers to be less effective.
Meanwhile, I would talk about one and that is as it is in matt. 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added”
It can be summed up to be called MISPLACEMENT OF PRIORITIES.
The priority given to us Christians is to seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and every other thing comes to us in addition. When we seek the desire of God and allow his will prevail over yours as Lord, then we can see him answering us and adding unto us that we need.
There is always a chance to restore you into the Kingdom supply. Remember that the addition of things is meant for people that seek the Kingdom and its righteousness. To be restored I this Kingdom is to come believing in the finished work of Christ of the cross.
RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AND BE PART OF THE KINGDOM FAMILY HAVING ACCESS TO THE KINGDOM SUPPLY.
